Abstract
A methodology for constructing a generalized (viscosity) solution to a Hamilton-Jacobi equation via the method of characteristics is present ed. With the help of this methodology, a solution to a two-dimensional problem is constructed numerically. This solution is presented in the form of cross-sections. The dependence of the solution on parameters of this problem is analyzed.
