Abstract
Two patients with posterior fossa arachnoid cysts associated with syri ngomyelia are discussed adding to the five cases already reported in t he literature. The formation and progression of syringomyelia secondar y to a posterior fossa cyst and its possible pathophysiology by dynami c CSF flow studies using magnetic resonance (MR) imaging are discussed and reviewed.
