A variational perturbative method is established to calculate the ener
gy levels of impurity magnetopolarons in parabolic quantum wires for a
rbitrary values of electron-phonon coupling constant cu, Rydberg const
ant Ii, frequency of the parabolic potential omega and cyclotron frequ
ency omega(c). Numerical results are derived and discussed for the ene
rgies of the ground slate and thr. first excited state. (C) 1998 Elsev
