Abstract
We report the existence of bright and dark families of strongly locali zed modes in discrete systems with a quadratic nonlinearity. It is sho wn analytically and confirmed numerically that the second-harmonic fie ld may form stable bound states with fundamental fields of different t opologies. Furthermore, we found different types of solutions having a nalogs neither in other discrete models nor in continuum models and st udied the background stability of dark modes.
