Abstract
Three novel reactive dyes having two vinyl sulfone fiber-reactive grou ps were synthesized and their application properties studied. Dye 1 ha ving two m-(beta-sulfatoethyl-sulfonyl)aniline moities possesses excel lent dyeing properties with a fixation value above 90%. The dyeing met hod of the new reactive dyes was improved by the amount and mode of ad ded alkali (Na3PO4). When the dyes are taken up at 40 degrees C, and t he dyeing temperature then raised to 60 degrees C after the first addi tion of Na3PO4 the dyeing results were more satisfactory.
