We study the percolation of finite-sized objects on two- and three-dim
ensional lattices. Our motivation stems, on one hand, from some recent
interesting experimental results on transport properties of impurity-
doped oxide perovskites, and on the other hand from the theoretical ap
peal that this problem presents. Our system exhibits a well-defined pe
rcolation threshold. We estimate the size of magnetic polarons, believ
ed to be the carriers of the above-mentioned transport. We have also o
btained two critical exponents for our model, which characterize its u
niversality class. [S1063-651X(98)06801-9].
