Kinematic simulations are non-Markovian Lagrangian models of dispersio
n that incorporate turbulentlike flow structure. We investigate the co
nditions for two-particle dispersion to be local in a turbulentlike fl
ow, and the dependence of the Richardson constant G(Delta) on the topo
logy of individual realizations of the flow.
