A. Alsabbagh et al., INFLUENCE OF DIFFERENT ADMIXTURES ON THE CRYSTALLIZATION OF CALCIUM-SULFATE CRYSTALS, Chemical engineering communications, 154, 1996, pp. 133-145
In the present study several defoaming agents were investigated in a b
atch-crystallizer with respect to their effectiveness on habit modific
ation and filterability of gypsum crystals. The application of some ag
ents in an horizontal tube falling film evaporator is discussed. Furth
ermore, the recrystallization kinetics of gypsum to anhydrite in the p
resence of sodium chloride at 95 degrees C are presented.
