If the charged Higgs boson H+ exists with m(H+) < m(t) + m(b), the con
ventional expectation is that it will decay dominantly into c (s) over
bar and tau(+)nu(tau). However, the three-body decay mode H+ --> W(+)
b (b) over bar is also present and we show that it becomes very import
ant in the law tan beta region for m(H+) greater than or similar to 14
0 GeV. We then explore its phenomenological implications for the charg
ed-Higgs-boson search in top-quark decay. [S0031-9007(97)05252-6].
