Abstract
Flaky, ultrathin mesoporous silica laminas with uniform mesopores, hav e been synthesized by hydrolysis of acidic tetraethylorthosilicate sol ution with dodecylamine or, decylamine surfactant. The materials have BET surface areas of 600-850 m(2)/g and mesopore diameters of ca. 3-4 nm after the samples were calcined at 500 degrees C.
