Abstract
The thermotropic and barotropic phase transitions of dimyristoylphosph atidylcholine (DMPC) multilamellar vesicle have been studied. Both tem peratures of the main transition and pretransition were elevated by pr essure. A pressure-induced interdigitation of DMPC bilayer membrane wa s observed at high pressures above 300 MPa.
