Chemiluminescence maxima and quantum yields sf coelenterazine analogue s possessing a substituent R [= CF3, F, H, OCH3, OH, N(CH3)(2)] at the para-position on the 6-phenyl group were measured in DMSO, The result indicates that tile variation of the electronic properties of R of th ese analogues caused the small change of the efficiency of chemical ge neration of a singlet excited light-emitter (Phi(S)).
