M. Heaven et al., INTEGRATED TOOL FOR INTELLIGENT IDENTIFICATION OF CD PROCESS ALIGNMENT, SHRINKAGE AND DYNAMICS - HAS BEEN TESTED WITH VARIOUS TYPES OF ACTUATORS, Pulp & paper Canada, 99(2), 1998, pp. 40-44
This paper is devoted to the identification of the mapping between the
CD actuators and the scanned profiles of paper properties taking into
account effects of paper shrinkage and misalignment. We describe a ne
w automated tool for identification of a CD process. The tool is easy
to use (one button) and allows robust and reliable identification of a
lignment and shrinkage in a short time despite the process variation.
The developed automated tools perform excitation of the paper machine
actuators, collection and processing of the data, and maintenance of t
he identified process model and bump test setup as grade-dependent dat
a, The tool has been successfully tested on data for paper machines wi
th various types of CD actuators.
