Abstract
There is a small but growing amount of empirical literature on the occ urrence, nature, and impact of personality disorders in elderly indivi duals. Recent work has concentrated on extending longitudinal studies into late life, and the presence and impact of personality disorders i n elderly who are depressed and cognitively compromised.
