Based on the obtained results in the reactive extraction of carboxylic
acids contained in citric fermentation broths, by Amberlite LA-2 in b
utyl acetate, a selective separation method of citric acid, malic acid
and succinic has been proposed. Using a molar ratio of 1:1 between di
carboxylic acids and Amberlite LA-2, and adding 2-octanol as a phase m
odifier, the selectivity of extraction can be enhanced.
