Abstract
Based on the free-energy coupling of ion transfer and ion/electron tra nsfer, the ITIES may be used as a source of electromotive tension. By series coupling of two initially equilibrated two-phase system, each o f them having a different electrical tension for its own ITIES, one ge ts a liquid ring in which an electromotive tension may be obtained and can be also noticed. The values of the electromotive tension, for dif ferent liquid rings, are obtained from potentiometric measurements.
