A. Morita et al., FUNCTIONAL DISSECTION OF A SUGAR-REPRESSED ALPHA-AMYLASE GENE (RAMYLA) PROMOTER IN RICE EMBRYOS, FEBS letters, 423(1), 1998, pp. 81-85
The gibberellin-inducible rice alpha-amylase gene, RAmy1A, was demonst
rated to be sugar repressed in rice embryos and functional dissection
of the promoter of RAmy1A in relation of its sugar-modulated expressio
n was performed. Gibberellin-response cis-elements of GARE (TAACAAA) a
nd pyrimidine box (CCTTTT) were partially involved in the sugar repres
sion. (C) 1998 Federation of European Biochemical Societies.
