Abstract
Silica gel with high capacity (about 1 g of water per 1 g of sorbent), a narrow distribution of pore size (about 100 Angstrom), and a corres ponding reversibility in the interval of relative water-vapor pressure s of 0.8-0.9 has been produced and studied. The high mechanical streng th of the porous material ensures that there is no dust in the volume to be dried and makes it possible to form items with various configura tions and sizes.
