The results of theoretical simulation of quasisteady convective burnin
g of energetic materials obtained by numerical and analytical methods
are reviewed. The spatial structure of a convective burning wave, stab
ilization mechanisms, characteristics of quasisteady convective burnin
g, and factors enabling the convective burning velocity and intensity
of chemical reactions in the combustion zone to efficiently influenced
are discussed. The inhibiting effect of binder additives is analyzed.
The calculation results are compared with the available experimental
data.
