Abstract
The infrared spectra of the drug Hatm and its copper (II) complexes wi th stoichiometry [Cu(atm)(2)(H2O)] and [Cu(Hatm)(HIm)(2)(SO4)] are rep orted and discussed. The Raman spectrum of Hatm is also reported. An a ssignment of Hatm, HIm, H2O and SO4 modes in the complexes is proposed in comparison with the modes of the free ligands. Important informati on about the metal-ligand vibrations has been obtained. (C) 1997 Elsev ier Science B.V.
