Abstract
This article examines the design of a computer-assisted laser vibratio n meter that uses a special reflecting film stuck to the vibrating sur face to eliminate the need for adjustments. Algorithms are proposed to estimate vibrational velocity by digitally analyzing signals from the output of a photodetector designed to detect laser radiation. An exam ple of the use of an approximation algorithm is presented and estimate s are made of its accuracy characteristics.
