Abstract
Cadmium sulphate hydrate, CdSO4-8/3 H2O, in the form of big monocrysta ls has been proposed as an excellent reagent for the standardization o f EDTA solutions. It can be easily prepared in the form of big, single crystals of high purity. The salt is virtually non-hygroscopic and ha s a high relative molecular mass. Its usefulness as a standard in comp lexometry has been compared with metallic copper and with indium of sp ectral purity.
