Abstract
Preliminary results on development of amperometric biosensors for gluc ose and urea employing glucose oxidase and urease, respectively, are r eported. Supported bilayer lipid membranes were formed from biotinylat ed phospholipids or? the surface of stainless steel electrode for gluc ose, and on the stainless steel electrode surface modified with electr opolymerised polypyrrole for urea. The immobilisation of enzymes was b ased on the use of enzyme conjugates with avidin.
