COMPOSITE ROBUST ACTIVE CONTROL OF SEISMICALLY EXCITED STRUCTURES WITH ACTUATOR DYNAMICS

In this paper, composite robust active control schemes are proposed fo r a class of non-linear base isolated structures in the presence of un known seismic excitation, parametrical uncertainties and actuator dyna mics. Only the information on state variables of the structural base a nd the first floor of the main structure has been used in the control design. A numerical simulation example is given for a ten-storeyed bas e isolated structure under the El Centro earthquake to show the effect iveness of the proposed control scheme.
