A taxonomy of space-time signal processing is addressed in terms of ar
chitectural and algorithmic classification, and the influence of the p
ropagation channel on the space-time processing. The architecture is c
lassified according to link structure, channel reuse and multiple acce
ss scheme. Algorithms are classified into channel estimation methods,
TDMA and CDMA receive algorithms and space-time transmit algorithms. F
inally, the effects of Doppler spread, delay spread and angle spread o
n space-time processing are discussed.
