The high-resolution FTIR spectrum of FNO has been recorded and the rov
ibrational structure of the essentially unperturbed nu 3, 2 nu(3), and
nu(1) + nu(3) cold bands and the 2 nu(3) <-- nu(3), + nu(3) <-- nu(3)
, and nu(1) + nu(2) + nu(3) <-- v(3) hot bands has been analyzed. The
perturbed bands nu(1) and nu(1) + nu(2) have been assigned and the dat
a analyzed by fitting the transitions with the dark states nu(2) + 2 n
u(3) and 2 nu(2) + 2 nu(3). Parameters for both light and dark states
together with Coriolis coupling parameters have been determined. (C) 1
