The thermal conductivity of pulsed laser deposited SrTiO3 thin films i
s measured in the temperature range 30-400 K using the 3 omega method.
The room temperature thermal conductivity of the films are more than
twice smaller than that of SrTiO3 bulk crystal. At low temperatures, t
he film thermal conductivity behaves much like amorphous bulks. We obs
erve that the film thermal conductivity is closely related to the depo
sition temperature; higher the deposition temperature, larger the film
conductivity. Around 200 K, a weak maximum was observed for coarse gr
ained films. The measured film thermal conductivity values are well ab
ove the expected minimum.
