Abstract
The paper presents an experimental and theoretical investigation of lo w-power laser beam self-focusing process by a photorefractive Bi12TiO2 0 crystal. Special attention is devoted on the time and space converge nce towards spatial soliton propagation, ii unique interpretation of t he transient and the steady state soliton is discussed.
