Js. Lee et al., HIGHLY EFFICIENT 2ND-HARMONIC GENERATION OF ND-YAG LASER-RADIATION USING MGO-DOPED LINBO3, Journal of the Korean Physical Society, 32, 1998, pp. 424-426
Noncritically phase-matched second harmonic generation (SHG) of 532-nm
radition from 1064-nm in MgO-doped LiNbO3 has been investigated by us
ing Q-switched Nd:YAG laser. SHG conversion efficiencies were typicall
y achieved as high as 50% with 2 mol% MgO-doped LiNbO3 at the warm pha
se-matching temperature. No photorefractive damage were found fur more
than a-hour operation of SHG under fundamental power density of 32 MW
/cm(2). The thermo-birefringence coefficient and the electro birefring
ence coefficient of SHG were calculated from the temperature phase-mat
ching profile with the electric field.
