Abstract
A numerical study of the time behavior of a beam propagating in a phot orefractive medium on two different time scales is presented. For time s larger than the dielectric relaxation time, we simulate the time dep endent non-linear wave propagation equation. For times shorter, we sim ulate a time dependent partial differential equation describing the sp ace-charge field evolution.
