A dielectric and Raman measurements study of phase transitions in (Ba0
.6Sr0.4)(Ti1-xNix)O-3 ceramics with x ranging from 0.0 to 3.0 is repor
ted. Both temperature transitions of respectively cubic-tetragonal and
tetragonal-orthorhombic phase transitions are shifted to lower temper
ature with increasing Ni content. A change from normal to diffused pha
se transition is also observed in Ni-doped samples. This behavior is a
ccompanied with a broadening of Raman lines. Theses observations may b
e attributed to local disorder of Ni ions in the B site of the ABO(3)
perovskite.
