Sh. Kim et al., LOW-FREQUENCY DIELECTRIC-DISPERSION AND RAMAN-SPECTROSCOPY OF AMORPHOUS LINBO3, Journal of the Korean Physical Society, 32, 1998, pp. 830-833
Amorphous LiNbO3 was prepared using twin-roller melt quenching method,
and the low-frequency dielectric dispersion and Raman spectroscopy of
amorphous LiNbO3 was examined. A hopping model was introduced to expl
ain this low-frequency (down to the 10(-4) Hz) dielectric behavior. Wh
en the heat-treating temperature of the sample was higher than the gla
ss transition temperature, it was revealed that the sample changed it'
s configurational coordinate to reduce the free energy of the sample b
y observing the dielectric behavior at low-frequencies. Raman spectros
copy has been employed for the heat-treated samples to study the struc
tural changes from amorphous to the crystalline phases.
