Abstract
The activities of CaO and NiO in {xCaO + (1 - x)NiO} have been determi ned in the temperature range 1123K to 1313K by the solid-electrolyte g alvanic cell technique. The solubility limits of CaO in NiO and of NiO in CaO have been estimated. The solutions exhibit strong positive dev iations from ideal behaviour. (C) 1998 Academic Press Limited.
