Abstract
The possibility of using a model of electronic nose with semiconductor metal sensors of foods have been evaluated. The instrument resulted p articularly evoluted with respect to previous models with only one sen sor (Alabaster). Nevertheless many methodological problems exist, main ly related to the software managing all recorded data that don't permi t the use in a routinary way. Other similar instruments, under conside ration, use polymeric sensors and are equipped with artificial intelli gence software able to reduce the above problem.
