The temperature dependence of the dielectric properties (relative perm
ittivity epsilon and polarization P) of the ordered Pb(In1/2Nb1/2)O-3
(PIN) were investigated. By the observation of the P-E double hysteres
is loops it was confirmed that the phase below the normal transition t
emperature is antiferroelectric for ordered PIN with different orderin
g degree of B-site cations. The critical electric field E-cr which ind
uces the ferroelectric phase increases rapidly with cooling. With incr
easing ordering degree of B-site cation, antiferroelectric transition
temperature T-n increases, whereas the Curie-Weiss temperature T-0 dec
reases, the maximum value of epsilon at the transition decreases, and
the value of \dE(cr)/dT\ increases.
