The influence of the thermal and electrical prehistory on the behaviou
r of polarization and depolarization currents in relaxer ferroelectric
Sr0.75Ba0.25Nb2O6 (SBN) in the range of diffuse phase transition temp
eratures (relaxer phase - RP) was investigated. We consider the assump
tion that in the process of long-time isothermal (one or two months at
T=const) or slow cooling big polar clusters - ''microelectrets'' are
formed. By heating the sample these microelectrets are destroyed and t
hat leads to the appearance of depolarization currents.
