Dielectric, elastic and piezoelectric parameters epsilon(ij), d(ij) an
d s(ij) of La3Ga5SiO14 (LGS) have been measured by the resonance-antir
esonance method for BAW and SAW applications. Dielectric constants eps
ilon(11)(T)/epsilon(0) and epsilon(33)(T)/epsilon(0) were 18.9 and 51.
1, respectively. Coupling coefficients k(12), k(26) and k(t) were also
determined as 11.8, 15.0, and 7.56%, respectively. It was simulated t
hat the temperature-compensated Rayleigh SAW was located around (0, 0,
40 degrees) with nu(s) of 2600 m/s Delta nu/nu of 0.21%, respectively
. The Rayleigh SAW velocity nu(s) for (90 degrees, 90 degrees, theta)
substrates varied from 1900 to 2900 m/s, lower, than those of other SA
W materials.
