Abstract
Dielectric constant, specific heat and charge release measurements hav e been performed to study the F-RL-F-RH and F-RH-P-C phase transitions in Zr rich PZT (PbZr1-xTixO3). Both transitions have been described t ogether by means of a two order parameters effective field model, in o rder to include the effects of cation shifts (related to polarization) and the tilt of the oxygen octahedra. The behavior of the physical pr operties is shown to be described consistently.
