Abstract
We describe a patient with multiple myeloma who was treated with inten sive therapy and autologous blood cell transplantation as her first-li ne treatment, The disease relapsed 3 months after the transplant as pl asma cell leukemia and the patient succumbed in 4 weeks, We suggest th at an aggressive plasma cell clone may be selected during the course o f intensive treatment, Complex karyotypic findings are also presented.
