Abstract
Several groups of investigators have assessed the impact of nasal obst ruction on the obstructive sleep apnea syndrome. These studies evaluat ed patients with either naturally occurring partial nasal obstruction (e.g., allergic rhinitis, septal deviation) or experimentally induced nasal occlusion. The results of these studies are summarized and discu ssed in this article.
