Abstract
K4PbTe3 . 2(en) has been synthesized from the reduction of an alloy, o f nominal composition PbTe2, with potassium metal in ethylenediamine t en). The structure was characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffracti on and contains the new Zintl anion PbTe34-.
