Kinetic regularities of photodestruction of 2,5-dimethyl-2,5-bis (trip
henylsilylperoxy)-3-hexyne (I), 5-dimethyl-2,5-bis(triphenylmethylpero
xy)-3-hexyne (II), and -triphenylsilylperoxy-5-tert-butylperoxy)-3-hex
yne (III) was studied in a liquid phase, and the composition of photod
estruction products was determined. The photolysis of these compounds
results in successive decomposition of O-O bonds with the formation of
radicals. Quantum yields of photoreactions were determined. The hinde
ring action of triphenylsilanol formed on the photodestruction of the
silicon-containing diperoxides was established. The photostability of
diperoxide II was shown to be significantly higher than that of monope
roxide, 3-methyl-3-triphenylmethylperoxybutyne.
