Abstract
Lignins obtained by delignification of Pinus pinaster and Eucalyptus g lobulus wood with acetic acid were characterized by elemental analysis , FTIR and H-1 and C-13 NMR spectroscopy. Eucalyptus lignin of type G. The observed structural differences explain the difference between th eir reactivities with formaldehyde. Both reactivities were low, howeve r, making these lignins poor raw materials for the preparation of adhe sives.
