H. Willems, FRAME, HABITUS AND DISCOURSE - COMPARING SOCIOLOGICAL CONCEPTS OF PRACTICE AND MEANING, Berliner Journal fur Soziologie, 7(1), 1997, pp. 87
In this contribution a comparison of three scholarly concepts of pract
ise and meaning (frame, habitual disposition, discourse) is made. On t
he one hand parallels, divergencies and connectabilities of theories o
f meaning structures are outlined. On the other hand this contribution
is concerned with the conception of psychic dispositions which corres
pond to social meaning structures and their contingencies. In this con
text diverse concepts of habitual dispositions are reduced to a common
denominator.
