P. Roth et al., VARIATION OF NATURAL TH-232 EXCRETION IN NON-EXPOSED PERSONS, Journal of radioanalytical and nuclear chemistry, 226(1-2), 1997, pp. 285-287
Urinary excretion of Th-232 was assessed in occupationally non-exposed
persons by means of inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (ICP
-MS). Measurements were performed in 55 healthy subjects. Mean daily T
h-232 excretion was 47+/-26 mu Bq.d(-1) (range 17-121 mu Bq.d(-1)). Re
sults obtained showed no statistically significant correlation with ag
e and no differences were found between males and females. The impact
on the assessment of intakes by workers is discussed.
