Abstract
Chickens were experimentally infected with Newcastle disease virus (ND V) and different organs were collected at point of death. Demonstratio n of NDV specific antigen in tissue samples were detected by haemagglu tination (HA), agar-gel-immuno-diffusion (AGID) and counterimmunoelect rophoresis (CIE) tests. Out of 51 samples tested 44, 27 and 37 were po sitive by HA, AGID and CIE respectively. The usefulness of AGID and CI E in Newcastle disease diagnosis is discussed.
