Abstract
The synthesis of metal(II) complexes of 4-adipoyl and 4-sebacoyl deriv atives of bis(1-phenyl-3-methylpyrazolone-5) with Ni2+, CU2+, Zn2+ Pb2 +, Co2+, Mn2+, and Ca2+ has been carried out. Characterisation was by elemental analysis, UV, IR and NMR spectral studies. The complexes con form. to the general formula ML.xH(2)O where M = metal ion, L is 4-acy lbis(1-phenyl-3 -methylpyrazolone-5) dianion and x = 0, 1, 1/2 or 2.
