M. Kopcewicz et al., SHORT-RANGE ORDER IN AMORPHOUS FEZRB(CU) ALLOYS INVESTIGATED BY THE RF-MOSSBAUER TECHNIQUE, Journal of magnetism and magnetic materials, 177, 1998, pp. 73-75
The radio-frequency (RF) collapse of the magnetic hyperfine structure
in the Mossbauer spectra is employed to study directly the short-range
order (SRO) in amorphous Fe93-x-yZr7BxCuy alloys via the electric qua
drupole hyperfine interaction. The shape of the quadrupole splitting d
istributions obtained from the RF collapsed spectra strongly suggest t
he existence of two SRO with a high and low local content of iron. The
decrease of boron content leads to a more symmetric local structure e
xperienced by the Fe atoms. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights
