Abstract
Hysteresis loops of amorphous Tb60Fe20Al20 are measured at several swe ep rates of a magnetic field at 4.2 K. At a fast sweep rate of 0.25 T/ s, magnetization abruptly jumps at 2.9 T, while the jump disappears at a slow sweep rate of 0.004 T/s. The magnetization jump is considered to reflect the dissipation mechanism of spin-reversal energy in adiaba tic system. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
