The V-51 Knight shift K has been measured to study the symmetry of the
Cooper pair in an A15 superconductor V3Si. Below T-c, the contributio
n of the core polarization to K decreases drastically with decreasing
temperature and vanishes completely at low temperature. This means tha
t the Cooper pair is spin-singlet type. The field dependence of K is d
iscussed considering the diamagnetic correction. The fact that K measu
red at 6 MHz is larger than K at 12 MHz suggests the possibility of th
e contribution of the paramagnetic limiting effect. (C) 1998 Elsevier
